helping individuals navigate life’s transitions

even if you “have it together,” you deserve and can benefit from support & guidance

Your life experience is rich and complex, but sometimes it can be difficult to process it into meaningful learning on your own. In therapy, I create and hold a space where we discuss your difficulties and successes neutrally, without judgment.

I get to know you - your values, your strengths, and your priorities. With that understanding, I provide honest reflection about staying true to yourself: living from your values as you navigate relationships and make choices that put you in a position of contributing to your world from your strengths and continuing to grow more effectively into them.

I see the goodness in you. As you move through challenges, I will remind you of your goodness.  I support you with perspective that reframes those challenges so they are more motivating than discouraging.  Together, we work on removing the unhelpful habits and patterns getting in your way, so you can live in full expression of your authentic self.

It’s not too difficult to get the skeletons out of the closet with people, but to get the gold out is a different matter. That is therapy. Psychology is the art of finding the gold of the spirit.
— Robert Johnson

the goal is to be increasingly in-tune with your inner compass

The goal isn’t to “graduate” from the need for therapy.  The goal, instead, is to be increasingly in tune with your inner compass. And we can have conversations about that for as many years as you like.

Rather than making decisions based on assumptions about relationships that come from past traumas, or engaging in habits that developed long ago from a lack of self-understanding, you are increasingly able to guide yourself from an ever-clearer sense of your values and your strengths.  As your desires become increasingly aligned with your best self, the balance of our conversations shifts from what’s not working well to what is working well.

You have greater contentment and ease as you become clearer about who you are, and it’s increasingly easy for you to make decisions in the difficulties of what life delivers. Together, we enjoy a neutral, safe and encouraging space for conversations that help you keep clearing things up.
